Drupal 5 als Beta erschienen
Die erste Beta-Version von Drupal ist draussen und kann hier heruntergeladen werden.
Drupal erhält einen webbasierten Installer und einen überarbeiteten Administrationsbereich. Der Installer legt Datenbank-Konfigurationsdatei selbst an. Drupal integriert die JavaScript-Bibliothek jQuery, die nun von allen JavaScript-Teilen innerhalb des Systems verwendet wird. Administratoren können sich häufig verwendete Suchbegriffe anzeigen lassen. Die Benutzerprofile werden mit selbstvervollständigenden Formularen ausgestattet. Die Drupal-Entwickler sagen, dass sich die Performance und Sicherheit erhöht habe.
Drupal ist vor allem für die interessant, die Community- und Web2.0-Aspekte mit dem CMS integriert sehen wollen.
Ein Datum für den Final Release gibt es noch nicht.
